On August 12, 1994, Ammon and I were married. Wow! That sounds like so long ago. That was when big hair was cool (o.k., I hung onto the eighties trend much longer than I probably should have), I was listening to Blind Melon and Pearl Jam, Friends and ER first aired, and things like cell phones and computers were just becoming available to the average Joe. There have since been three Summer Olympics, three presidents, and some major world events like Y2K and 9/11.
Looking back on our wedding day, we were so excited to start our life together and not have to say goodbye to each other every night. I remember telling my mom that I could not possibly imagine Ammon and I ever arguing about anything "unless we were really tired or something." The day went off with only a few notable problems: Ammon wore white socks with his black tux and black shoes, I mistook President Monson for another one of Ammon's tall relatives after a lengthy chat with him in the temple, and the Mazda 323 wouldn't start and I had to push it in the parking lot while still in my wedding dress so Ammon could pop the clutch.
The past fifteen years have flown by. We have come a long way since 1994 and it has been so much fun. I love you more than ever Ammon!
My BFFs - minus Kristine. Where was she for our pyramid pic, anyway?Last weekend, Ammon surprised me with a night away at the old Ritz Carlton in Pasadena. He arranged for Jessie to babysit the girls (thanks Jess) and we made our escape. We had the best time. It was so nice to be able to visit with each other without a tug on the leg or an "excuse me mama, excuse me, EXCUSE ME!" We stayed up until 1:00 a.m. talking, laughing and watching movies and then slept eight straight hours. So much fun.

Congrats to you both. This post cracks me up - but then most of your posts do! Here's to another 100 blissful years! wink wink!
