Happy 4th of July!

Here are some pictures from yesterday. Gotta love the 4th of July, South Pasadena style. It is the closest thing to a Fillmore 4th of July we've found .... which is one reason we love this place!









And I can't let a 4th of July pass without a shout out to my military friends. Rick is in Baghdad until next spring. He is part of the group that is still there, training the Iraqi police and security forces. A very dangerous job, especially after all of the troops were pulled out of the cities on June 30th. He is in our thoughts every day. And then there is Tam. She is holding the fort down and growing a little Martin while Rick is away. She too has served time in Iraq and could deploy again at any time after the baby is born. I am so grateful for the sacrifices they make for our country!
